		<description>We had a couple of days where we talked about vegetarian and vegan diets. The chefs have great disdain for vegetarians and vegans, and, of course, that has been communicated to the students who, now, have learned this disdain.

Unfortunately, the lessons were fairly useless - students think, for example, all cheese is vegetarian (not if they used meat-based rennet in the processing, which most cheese does), so beware if you order a vegetarian dish at a non-vegetarian restaurant. Sigh.</description>

Also, have they discussed non-meat proteins at all? After seeing TopChef this week it does make me wonder if you are getting any training in specialized cuisines.</description>
